Ruby Glazed Bowl. 清代 Qing Dynasty, 光緒 Guangxu Period (1875-1908) A hemispherical bowl covered entirely in a rich Rose du Barry (deep pink) glaze leaving the rim exposed white. On the white glazed base written in kaishu script is the six character reign mark and period of 光緒 Guangxu in underglaze blue beneath a clear glaze. Height:  2 3/4" (7cm)  Diameter:  6 3/4" (17.1cm). Pair of 早清 Early 19th C Turquoise Recumbent Rams

Pair of Turquoise Recumbent Rams. Early 清代 Qing Dynasty, 19th C A fine and rare pair of Kangxi style mirror image recumbent rams, realistically modeled with an alert expression on their faces. They are covered in a rich lustrous turquoise (peacock blue) glaze darkening where it pools in the recesses of the carved details.
