Lot 958. A blue and white 'Bajixiang' vase, 19th century; 17½ in. (44.5 cm.) high. Estimate USD 12,000 - USD 18,000. Price realised USD 18,750. © Christie's Images Ltd 2014  The globular body is decorated in vibrant shades of cobalt blue with lotus blooms borne on leafy stems below a band of The Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, tied with ribbons on a dense foliate band interrupted by a pair of molded monster mask and ring handles.
