A pale green and russet jade 'chilong' pendant, 17th-18th century

Lot 16. A pale green and russet jade 'chilong' pendant, 17th-18th century; 8cm (3in) long. Estimate HK$80,000 - 120,000. Sold for HK$ 62,500 (€ 6,786). Courtesy Bonhams. Deftly carved in openwork with a sinuous chilong with a bi-furcated tail, clambering on a curling leaf with a leafy branch of lingzhi fungus grasped in its jaws, the softly polished stone of greenish-white tone with attractive russet inclusions on the leaf.
