The FINE JEWELS sale achieves a total of €6,245,000/ £5,283,418/ $6,937,128 at Christie's Paris

Paris – The Jewellery department is pleased with the solid results achieved today, despite today’s national strike. Collectors are continuously eager to acquire rare stones of prestigious provenances, especially couloured diamonds such as an Orangy-Pink diamond-ring which had been acquired for €646,000 against a presale estimate of €70,000-80,000 and a fancy light pink diamond-ring by de Beers realised €310,000, more than six times its low estimate of €50,000. Christie's New York Magnificent Jewels totals $62,592,750
