A bottle-shaped Safavid vase, Iran, 17th Century. Fritware with underglaze-blue decoration. Photo Florence Number Nine A pear-shaped vase with vegetal and dotted motifs. The shape, decoration and blue and white colours betray the strong influence of Chinese models, despite the final "Islamic" effect. The fragility of these long narrow necks has often required, as in this case, a repair using a silver tip. h 22,5 cm.
