Bonhams to Make Its Impression on the Recovering Art Market with December Sale

Bonhams has announced an exciting line-up of works for its Impressionist and Modern Art sale to be held at New Bond Street on Thursday 3 December. Fighting for position as the sale's most valuable lot is 'Gladiatori nell'arena' by Giorgio de Chirico (1888-1978). An oil on canvas dated 1927, the painting is from Leonce Rosenberg's hugely important collection of the artist's Gladiator paintings which he housed in his Parisian apartment. Alitalia confirme la mise en vente de 160 œuvres de sa collection d’art

ROME (ITALIE) [13.01.09] – La compagnie aérienne Alitalia confirme la mise en vente de sa collection d’art, acquise depuis 1947. Alitalia, la compagnie aérienne italienne qui avait déposé son bilan en août 2008, confirme la mise en vente des 163 œuvres de sa collection d’art, rapporte Reuters. Augusto Fantozzi, l’administrateur judiciaire d’Alitalia, a annoncé qu’un « certain nombre de peintures d’artistes importants passeront sous le marteau lors d’une vente aux enchères. » La collection d’art moderne d’Alitalia a vu le jour...
