David Hockney's breath-taking The Splash sold for £23,117,000/ $29,820,930 / €27,509,230 (est. £20-30 million) – the third highest price for the artist. Jean-Michel Basquiat's ‘Untitled’ from 1982 Achieves $110.5 Million at Sotheby’s New York

NEW YORK – Achieving a record-shattering $110.5 million, Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Untitled, 1982, led the Contemporary Art Evening sale on 18 May.
