A small Chinese Junyao foliate dish, Yuan-Ming Dynasty (1260-1644). Photo Christie's Image Ltd 2014 The shallow, rounded sides are moulded as petals rising to the rim. It is covered overall with a greyish-blue glaze with a purple splash and thinning to a mushroom colour on the ribs and rim. The foot rim and base are unglazed and burnt reddish-brown in the firing. 4.3/4 in. (12 cm.) diam.
