Thickly potted and boldly painted with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, amid continuous scrolling leaves above stiff lappets at the tapering foot and below a band of lotus blooms and scrolls at the shoulder and further blooms at the neck. 27.5cm (10¾in) high. Delicately drawn with a wide band of foliate lotus and leafy vines between upright overlapping plantain leaves at the foot and pendant lotus panels on the shoulder, the neck with four stylized flowerheads, above a small border of stylized double peach and scrolls.
