A rare archaistic bronze vase 'HU' with bird base, China, Song-Yuan-dynasty (960-1368). Photo Auktionshaus Stahl Green and brown patinated bronze. Vessel with cover on a bird-shaped tripod-base in Zhou-dynasty style. 3 additional sculptural birds as cover pommels. 2 side handles with animal heads. The wall and the cover with relief bands of stylised mythical creatures on a leiwen underground. At both sides of the neck an inscription with archaic characters.
