Each decorated with panels alternatively enclosing sets of precious objects and birds, dragonflies and butterflies amongst chrysanthemum and peony, all below a hexagonal diaper band and ruyi-head border at the shoulder, the flaring neck with a cloud collar containing the three abundances. Baluster vase, China, 1680. Porcelain painted in underglaze blue, 22.2 x 8.5 cm. RCIN 1056. Royal Collection © Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Slender baluster vase with straight sides, a narrow neck, a cut mouth and a spreading foot. Painted round the body with leafy scroll with peony and hibiscus blooms, around the shoulder of the vase are borders of chevron pattern and scrollwork.
