Lot 122. A beige jade ceremonial blade, ge, Shang dynasty (circa 1600-1046 BCE). Length 5 1/2  in., 14 cm. Estimate 10,000 — 15,000 USD. Courtesy Sotheby's. the flat shaft with beveled edges tapering to a curved point at one end, the opposite end indented at each side for attachment to a handle, pierced with an aperture, the stone a creamy beige color with wavy veins of translucent pale celadon.
