Lot 1621. A carved Longquan celadon dish, Ming dynasty (1368-1644); 11 ¾ in. (29.8 cm.) diam. Estimate: US$7,000 - US$9,000. © Christie's Images Ltd 2019 The dish is carved in the center with a medallion of trellis pattern surrounded by floral scrolls in the well. The dish is covered inside and out with a thick glaze of sea-green tone, except for a wide ring on the base which has burnt orange in the firing. Property from the Caddle Family Collection.
