Lot 125. A flambé-glazed bottle vase, 19th century. Photo Christie's Image Ltd 2016  The vase is covered on the exterior in a deep crushed-strawberry-red tone glaze subtly streaked in purple and in milky blue, thinning at the mouth rim and over the rim to a mushroom tone. The base is covered in a similar mushroom-tone glaze suffused with crackle. 11 ½ in. (29.2 cm.) high. Appears to be in overall good condition. Estimation: USD 2,000 - 3,000 Christie's on line. The Art of China.

A large flambé-glazed bottle vase, Qianlong six-character incised seal mark and of the period (1736-1795). Estimate $60,000 – $80,000. Photo Christie's Image Ltd 2015  The heavily potted vase has an ovoid body that tapers to a cylindrical neck and is covered with a rich streaked glaze of dark crushed-strawberry red and milky blue draining to mushroom at the rim. Photo Christie's Image Ltd 2015 The vase is covered in a streaked dark strawberry-red glaze infused with purple splashes thinning to a mushroom colour at the mouth rim.
