Garnets

All species of garnets possess similar physical properties and crystal forms, but differ in chemical composition. The species names are pyrope, almandine, spessartine, grossular, uvarovite and andradite. Malaia Garnet is one of the most beautiful gemstones in Africa, featuring orange to pinkish orange to red in color which do not match the color and gemological properties of any of the other more well known varieties of garnet.
