A gilt-splashed bronze elephant-handled censer, Qing dynasty, 18th century

Lot 153. A gilt-splashed bronze elephant-handled censer, Qing dynasty, 18th century; 5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) wide. Estimate HKD 150,000 - HKD 200,000. Price realised HKD 187,500. © Christie's Image Ltd 2015 The censer is heavily cast with a pair of elephant-head handles flanking the inverted bell-shaped body decorated with a bowstring band around the mid-section, and decorated overall with gilt splashes.
