Important emerald and diamond brooch-pendant - Sotheby's Set to the centre with a hexagonal-shaped emerald carved with floral and foliate motifs in the Mughal style, weighing 178.64 carats and measuring approximately 50 x 10 x 40mm, drilled at either side for suspension, probably late 17th-18th century, to a modern frame of foliate design embellished with brilliant-cut and pear-shaped diamonds, pendent loop and pin fittings to reverse. Estimate:  285,000 – 475,000 CHF Sotheby's.
