A Meissen two-handled beaker and saucer, circa 1723. Photo Bonhams Each side of the beaker painted with a chinoiserie scene depicting a large figure, within a gilt and Böttger-lustre cartouche with purple and iron-red scrollwork, gilt scrollwork borders to the rims, the beaker: 8.3cm high; the saucer: 13.8cm diam, gilt 8 to both, incised / to saucer, impressed .. to beaker (very minor rubbing to cartouche on saucer) (2).
