sturdily potted with steep rounded sides rising to a flat everted mouthrim, the interior vividly painted with a medallion enclosing a long-tailed phoenix soaring amidst dense cloud scrolls, surrounded by a frieze similarly decorated with phoenix and clouds around the well, the rim with a leafy lotus scroll within a brown-edged border, the exterior undecorated, the base with a six-character reign mark within a double-circle;39.3 cm., 15 1/2  in.
