Sotheby's unveils towering example of Monet's Waterlilies & Picasso portrait of his rival lovers

David Hockney's 'The Splash' makes £23.1 million at Sotheby's London

David Hockney's breath-taking The Splash sold for £23,117,000/ $29,820,930 / €27,509,230 (est. £20-30 million) – the third highest price for the artist.
