Machado Silvetti wraps the Facade of Asian Art Building in Jade

SARASOTA, Floridia — When asked for a “monumental entrance” on their redesign for the John and Mable Ringing Museum of Art, the Machado Silvetti firm did not disappoint. Thousands of ceramic tiles form a jade cube around the university-adjacent building. Their contours certainly deserve the term “wrapper,” seldom do we see a facade that looks so delicate and paper-thin.
