A large turquoise glass bottle vase, Qianlong incised four-character mark within a square and possibly of the period (1736-1795). Photo Christie's Image Ltd 2014. The thick-walled vase is formed with a globular body surmounted by a tall cylindrical neck and is raised on a slightly flared foot. The opaque glass is of a bright turquoise-blue colour. 13½ in. A blue and white and copper-red-decorated bottle vase, Kangxi period (1662-1722). Photo Christie's Image Ltd 2014. The vase is potted with a bulbous body rising to a long cylindrical neck, supported on a short foot. The exterior of the body is delicately painted with a qilin and an eagle both standing on large rocks surrounded by crashing waves, below the moon amidst clouds and two seal marks. A rare large Ming-style blue and white bottle vase, Qianlong six-character seal mark and of the period (1736-1795). Photo Christie's Image Ltd 2014. The powerfully potted vase is painted around the exterior in the 15th century style, with large blooms borne on meandering leafy scrolls.
