A pair of Italian polychrome and ivory lacquered wood chinoiserie vases on stands, possibly Piedmontese. 19th century each of square tapering form with a red lacquered rim above a concave sided neck decorated with a band of flowers and leaves, each side decorated with a chinoiserie figure within a floral and foliate cartouche, with a gilt-bronze lion mask ring handle on each side, on a detachable square base - each: 92cm. high, 3ft.¼in.
