Note: A celadon-glazed brush pot from the H.M. Knight Collection with similar carving was included in the exhibition, Oosterse Schatten, Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, 1954, no. 311. Another similarly carved celadon-glazed brush pot from the collection of the British Rail Pension Fund was exhibited at the Dorchester International Ceramics Fair, London, June 1986, and later sold at Sotheby's, Hong Kong, 16 May 1989, lot 51. Further similar examples include the brush pot from the E.T. Hall Collection, sold at Christie’s London, 7 June 2004, lot 119, and the brush pot formerly in the collection of Charlotte Dorrance Wright sold at Christie’s New York, 29 March 2006, lot 517.
