Le Courtauld Institute vient de recevoir un legs d'une exceptionnelle importance, de cinquante-et-un dessins anglais, essentiellement des aquarelles.    La testatrice est Miss Dorothy Scharf, petite-fille d'un marchand d'art, qui a réuni cet ensemble sur une période de quarante ans grâce à la fortune familiale. Le champ chronologique de la collection couvre la période 1750-1850, soit l'âge d'or de l'aquarelle anglaise.
