Triceratops Horn - Triceratops horridus - Late Cretaceous - Hell Creek Formation, Wyoming
Triceratops Horn - Triceratops horridus - Late Cretaceous - Hell Creek Formation, Wyoming
Recent research shows that Triceratops may not have lived in large herds, but in small family groups of four to six individuals. Also, the image of Triceratops living in a dry inland environment appears to be incorrect. In fact, they probably lived in a wetland environment similar to marsh lands of today; they may have also ventured into the water from time to time. The present specimen appears to be the tip of a larger horn. Measures 10in - Estimate: $600 - 700
