An unusual large lacquered bamboo libation cup. Qing dynasty, 18th century
in the form of a pine trunk, the waisted body rising from a splayed foot, culminating in a broad everted mouth, a thick meandering branch forming the handle, issuing pine needle clusters around the body, applied overall with a dark-brown lacquer. height 4 1/2 in., 11.4 cm; length 6 in., 15.2 cm Estimate: 4,000—6,000 USD
