Yellow gold 750. Very attractive sculpture of a head of a Medusa in fine plastically carved, salmon-red coral. Face distorted with pain and flame-like standing-up hair, decorated with 6 baroque South Sea cultured pearls of ca. 14 x 12 mm, two snakes in-between the hair, with a wing over the right ear. Golden, cylindrical, wrinkled structured neck part with an appliqued upright snake originating in the base and ending in the face. The sculpture is removably mounted on a square lapis-lazuli base with golden lion feet. Total height ca. 15 cm. Unsigned. Estimation : 3 000 / 5 000 CHF
