the slightly spreading cylindrical body with scalloped pierced rim, cast around the exterior with four rectangular panels enclosing lengthy calligraphic inscriptions and dated above to the 8th year of the reign of the Jiajing Emperor, corresponding to 1529, all above floral panels and surmounted by a crouching dragon crown. 56.5cm., 22 1/4 in..
