three painted with a pair of phoenix to the cover amongst ruyi and Daoist emblems and flame scrolls, above radiating panels of lotus, chrysanthemum and peony, the fourth painted with a pencilled dragon amongst clouds and a flaming pearl, one box with apocryphal Xuande mark.
