A cast bronze seated figure of Guanyin. Ming Dynasty
Attired in an elaborately reticulated crown that fronts his tall chignon topped with a seated Buddha image, the open-work continuing for the lotus plants and the cascading ribbons at his shoulders he sits dhyanasana holding a scroll, the separately cast lotus base also finished to the front with open work scrolls. 14 1/4in (36cm) high. Estimate: $1,500 - 2,000
