The highest prices were commanded for the Hermès handbags made of exotic leathers, with nine handbags exceeding £30,000 each. The top selling jewellery item in the sale was a princess-cut diamond ring of 5.04 cts, which sparked great interest and exceeded the pre-sale estimate of £15,000-20,000 to sell for £27,500. Further highlights included a brilliant-cut diamond ring of 6.70 cts which sold for £25,000, and an Hermès handbag charm bracelet which sold for £10,000.

Bidders participated in the sale globally both on the telephones and online, with successful buyers in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Americas. 19% of lots were bought or directly underbid online via Christie’s Live.”
