the ovoid body rising from a spreading foot to a waisted neck and flaring gilt rim, painted in bright enamels with scattered leafy sprays of large floral blooms including peony, lotus, rose, prunus and hibiscus, all reserved on a bright turquoise ground pencilled with grisaille markings simulating turquoise matrix; 39.3cm., 15 1/2 in.
