All sets complete for chest and back, the direction of the view of the birds symbolizes whether the person wearing the square was a lady or a gentleman. Good condition, the gauze square partly worn. 29x29 cm. Estimate 2000/3000 €
Property of the former German counselor Dr. Joachim Schulze (1880-1954), who was living in China from 1907 to 1940, his stays being only shortly interrupted by trips to the Phillippines and Java. He did his military service in Qingdao and lived mostly in the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin and Changsha
