The flattened circular body painted on each side with a front-facing five-clawed dragon encircling a flaming pearl amidst fire and cloud scrolls, the lobed handles each painted at the base with a ring suspending a musical stone, a brocade ball and a lozenge, the neck painted with a cloud scroll on each side, the vase covered with a rich translucent yellow glaze stopping at the blue dragons. 32.3cm (12¾in) high. Sold for £9,375 (€11,186)
Provenance: acquired by an English collector before 1964, and by descent to the present owner.
