Dyed silk fabric (Ikat). Women’s coat in red and yellow with patterned cotton fabric lining. Sleeve length: 52 cm, sleeve width: 21 cm, back: 131 cm, shoulder width: 40 cm. Good overall condition. Estimation : 560 € / 700 €
The present Chapan is a traditional garment of Central Asia, which is worn as a jacket over the dress and can be made of different materials. In this case, it is a light woman coat of ikat, a colored silk fabric. It is decorated in red and yellow colors and lined with a patterned cotton fabric. The coat shows some wear, but is in good overall condition. The sleeve length is 52 and the sleeve width 21 cm. The back is 131 cm long and the shoulder width is 40 cm. The width from arm to arm is 144 cm.
