the rounded sides rising to a slightly everted rim, the interior painted with a pair of five-clawed dragons and a pair of phoenix amidst scrolling, leafy stems of peony, the design repeated in the well and on the exterior, all within double blue line borders, the underside inscribed with a six-character reign mark in underglaze-blue.
