stoutly potted with deep everted sides supported on a broad ribbed and slightly splayed stem, deftly decorated around the exterior with eight large lotus head borne on a continuous meandering stem, each supporting one of the bajixiang ('Eight Buddhist Emblems'), the interior picked out with a single shou character forming a central medallion, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark; 18.3 cm., 7 1/4  in.
