the ovoid sides rising to broad shoulders below a tapering neck, painted with two fierce five-clawed dragons flying through a dense design of lotus scrolls, all between a band of stylised ruyi below the neck and upright lappets at the foot, the neck encircled with a frieze of lotus scrolls, the recessed base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character mark within a double-circle - 20.9 cm., 8 1/4 in.
