The bowl is finely enamelled and gilt with the fengdeng, the 'Harvest of Abundance', within four medallions divided by floral sprays reserved on a graviata ruby ground. The interior is painted in underglaze blue with four be-ribboned canopied flasks, surrounding a central medallion radiating four flowering plants alternating with insects suspending bejewelled ruyi-heads, box.
