Elegantly potted with gently shallow sides, finely enamelled in vivid colours to the centre with a sinuous five-clawed dragon and a long-tailed phoenix in mutual pursuit amidst billowing clouds, the exterior similarly decorated with a dragon and phoenix striding amidst scattered clouds. 24.7cm (9 7/8in) diam.
Provenance: a European private collection, acquired between 1960-70, and thence by descent
