Fine quality emerald specimens containing "gem" facet-grade material are very infrequently seen in the market since stones can be cut from them and sold quickly. Good fortune has allowed this specimen to survive: it is a textbook crystal of the most exemplary form, consisting of a hexagonal habit, lustrous faces and the most vivid green. The color is that perfect point of color saturation between too dark and too light and, moreover, has that slight blue tinge so characteristic of Colombian Emerald. This is an important crystal specimen for the knowledgeable collector.
