With radiating palmettes around a central quatrefoil, the border with calligraphic inscriptions in naskh, one bearing the date.
Note: Comparable lustre cross tiles with similar decoration of a repeating palmettes pattern is in the British Museum (1896,0201.101). Another cross tile, albeit with simplified repeating palmette motifs, signed Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Tahir and dated to circa 1262 is now in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (G. 450).
