fitted with male and female portrait medallions enclosed by engraved hatched arabesques, embossed with lobes above leaf chased foot.
Note: An identical beaker, probably the example here, is illustrated by Karin Tebbe et al. Nürnberger Goldschmiedekunst 1541-1868, Germanischen Nationalmuseums, Nuremberg, 2007, no. 844 [1], where the cataloguers record that the profile medallions are after specifically referenced engravings by Virgil Solis (1514-1562).
