the translucent white stone carved with shallow rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to a flared rim, all supported on a domed base well carved in openwork bats soaring amidst clouds between beaded borders, the inner rim engraved and filled in with gilt with a stylised fret band, the white stone with faint russet inclusions and streaks.
