brightly enamelled to the exterior with four scaly five-clawed dragons amongst clouds, with waves crashing upon rocks beneath, all within concentric bands in underglaze blue, the interior with a fifth single dragon within a roundel with flames.

Provenance: Woolley & Wallis, 17.11.2015, Lot 276 and bought by the present owner.

Note: Cf. Christie's, 27th May 2008, lot 1760, for a similar bowl dating to the Kangxi period.
