The vase with a pear shaped body rises from the shoulders to a long narrow neck and flares at the mouth rim to reveal a gold gilt interior. The vase is decorated with various designs, the central motif being shou characters surrounded by bats. To the neck lappets formed of greek key design rise towards the mouth. A boarder of lappets inclosing lotus flowers surround the base.
