With slightly rounded conical sides rising from a narrow foot, the interior is moulded in shallow relief with scrolling chrysanthemum on a leafy vine. The centre is decorated with a single chrysanthemum flowerhead, all under a semi-translucent glaze of pale olive-green tone pooling to darker green in the recesses, Japanese wood box.
Provenance: Property of a private collection in Western Japan, acquired around 1920s.
