Lot 3306. A rare doucai 'Swallows and Lotus pond' dish, Yongzheng six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle and of the period (1723-1735); 6 in. (15.2 cm.) diam. Estimate HKD 700,000 - HKD 900,000. Price realised HKD 1,120,000. © Christie's Image Ltd 2014.
The dish is delicately enamelled in a soft palette on the interior of with two swallows above a lotus pond with crested waves, the exterior similarly decorated with swallows in flight amidst lotus stalks rising above waves, box.
