The vase is delicately decorated in famille verte with two large panels surrounded by a blue and white fish roe ground, one enclosing a bird perched on a prunus branch, the other with a butterfly fluttering around a day lily, below a poppy plant and a katydid amidst begonia on the waisted neck.
